We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Offshore Development Office of the Ignitis Renewables team, where you’ll be focusing on the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for offshore wind projects. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Leading the electrical design and development of offshore wind project, including system layouts, component selection, and technical specifications
  • Preparing and / or evaluating requirements for Relay protection and automation devices, automation controllers, transducers, IT network devices, communication protocols
  • Overseeing and managing electrical engineering projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, project managers, and construction teams, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Ensuring all electrical designs and installations comply with local, national, and international codes and standards relevant to renewable energy
  • Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers, providing clear and concise information on relay protection and automation engineering matters. Participating in meetings, presentations, and reviews as required
  • Acting as the focal point within the Transmission Team for all the technical interfaces (regarding Relay protection and automation) with the external consulting companies.

Required for this position:

  • Higher education in related field – electrical or automation engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and / or automation engineering, with at least 3 years in the renewable energy sector
  • Experience in design/testing/planning/maintenance activities of renewable power plants and electrical substations
  • Comprehensive understanding of control system engineering, incl. data acquisition controllers and communication devices, IT network devices, communication protocols
  • Knowledge and experience in relay protection engineering, incl. understanding relay protection devices, controllers’ certain basics of communication protocols and some basics of RTU
  • Strong understanding of the technical and organizational processes for large infrastructure projects
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Experience in leading and working with multi-disciplinary and intercultural project teams.

Salary range for this position group is 4193 to 6290 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on experience and competence. Variable part of remuneration may be paid depending on results.
