We are looking for a colleague to carry out the technical assessment of the automation part of all existing and newly developed Ignitis Renewables solar and wind parks. We value openness, partnership is our strength, and responsibility makes us a great team. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Oversee and maintain equipment in low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage electrical substations and renewable power plants
  • Control the solutions for the automation part of solar and wind farms during project design and implementation
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and debugging of the installation of automation and control systems
  • Prepare the design task and main technical requirements for owner’s equipment and systems
  • Conduct a technical supervision for equipment offered by contractors, technical specifications, design solutions, documentation, testing procedures
  • Conduct evaluations of grid connection requirements
  • Perform supervision for installation and pre-commissioning, factory / site / grid code acceptance tests
  • Represent the company's interests in cooperation with the power plant designers, construction contractor on automation and process control issues.

Required for this position:

  • Have a university degree in automation or electrical engineering
  • Have at least 5 years of professional experience in automation and electrical engineering. Experience in renewable energy projects would be considered as an advantage
  • Have proven track record in distribution network / transmission network relay protection and in electrical network automation (controller, transducer, PLC, RTU)
  • Have excellent skills in design, testing, planning and maintenance activities of renewable power plants and electrical substations
  • Have knowledge across control system engineering, incl. data acquisition controllers (PLC, RTU) and communication devices, IT network devices, communication protocols
  • Are familiar with relay protection devices, controllers (like voltage controller, Petersen coil controller, battery charger), and have certain basics of communication protocols, RTU
  • Have analytical thinking, planning and communication skills
  • Are proficient in English language.

Salary range for this position group is 4193 to 6290 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on experience and competence. Variable part of remuneration may be paid depending on results.
